About Tom's Town Distilling Co.

Tom’s Town Distilling Co. is downtown Kansas City's first legal distillery since Prohibition. Inspired by the infamous era of Prohibition and the notorious political boss Tom Pendergast, this distillery pays homage to the rebellious spirit and vibrant energy of the Roaring Twenties.

 

Pendergast started as a saloon keeper and the founder of a wholesale liquor company.  Under Tom, Kansas City ignored Prohibition and emerged as the “Paris of the Plains.” Money, jazz, and spirits flowed in the open. When asked how he justified ignoring Prohibition, Pendergast quipped, “The people are thirsty.”

Today, the people are still thirsty. Tom’s Town satisfies that thirst by producing premium craft spirits meticulously distilled in the heart of Kansas City. From award-winning vodka and gin to meticulously aged bourbons and whiskeys, every sip tells a story of Tom’s Town Distilling Co.’s commitment to quality and innovation.
