cooking event with Chef Mike Hauke from Tony Boloney.

Founder & Owner

Mike Hauke opened his first Tony Boloney’s as a small deli/convenience store in Atlantic City in 2009. Fast forward 12 years later, and he’s been featured on literally every national website and TV show including Good Morning America, Food Network's "Great American Food Finds" and "Best Thing I Ever Ate."

 

He was the winner of Guy Fieri's Cheesesteak Battle and has been featured on BuzzFeed, VICE Munchies, THRILLIST, and New Yorker Magazine and dozens more for his innovative take on pizza and subs. He launched a food truck in AC and has additional brick & mortar locations in Hoboken, Jersey City, and Long Branch.

 

As the world shifted toward virtual in 2020, Mike did the same with his pizza expertise, shipping DIY kits across the country and hosting personalized virtual teaching experiences.

Virtual Cooking Experience Overview

Events by M will arrange delivery of your Calzone Kit prior to the class.

A 60-minute virtual interactive experience with Owner & Founder Mike Hauke.

First you will hear a brief history of calzones & the techniques used back in the day, then you will move on to making the calzone!

Stuffed, rolled, baked, or fried…

you say stuffed pizza, panzarotti, or stromboli….we say Calzone!

Each Kit Serves 6-8 Guests & Includes:

4 Balls of Dough

Vodka Sauce

Soppressata

Fresh Mozzarella

Shredded Mozzarella 

Burrata

Olive Oil

Sesame Seeds

Pecorino

Calabrian Chili

Gluten-Free & Vegetarian Kits available, please indicate preference upon registration.
